hi folks,
i searched the FAQ, the forum(s), local installers and the entire bleeding web for information on installing my Mk2 into my 97 Mustang GT conv. first got a Scosche line-out converter from Crutchfield (can't remember the part number...sorry!). it almost worked. "almost" meaning that i could not adjust the volume high enough. i thought i should get better than this, so i went looking once again. came up with the ROEM-FRD1 from PAC. bingo! the ROEM-FRD1 has connections for high-to-low voltage speaker outputs (perfectly suited for the empeg - Mach460 interface). to wit:
-i replaced the Mach460 head unit and CD player with the empeg
-necessitating some kind of converter
-to allow the empeg to "talk" Mach460
-and came up with the ROEM-FRD1

I must say that there simply is nothing like the empeg. my dad just recently got XM radio in his Caddy and he thinks it's so hip...but it still doesn't compare to the empeg.
