Damn. It's a good thing I don't have an SE phone at the moment, otherwise I'd be polishing the old credit card. Thee 616 is temping me at the moment, so if I end up with one after the holidays I know what I'll be buying.

Wow! That's pretty freaking cool! I keep a little blue LED light tethered to my P800 that's run off the power plug on the phone, so now I want that!

I wonder why it wouldn't be supported by all their phones. I didn't see the P800 on that list.

*edit*
Here's the product page

They also have a gamepad. They don't say which phones support it, though.

It should be supported. It appears as a headset or something similar and you use the keypad tones to drive it.

Okay, that's cute. But way more expensive than the pocket-sized RC cars that sell here for CAD$30 (likely about US$.02). But still, very very cool!

Unfortunately, the car doesn't appear to be supported by the P800 or P900. A representative from SE on my-symbian said they'd have support for it by Christmas, but I think that's highly unlikely. SE has pretty terrible support for their phones as far as software goes.

Hahah.. yeah, i saw that on Sony Ericsson's website about a month ago... if they could get it down to like $20 they'd probably sell a ton. Pretty cool.

I've been reading some things that say they're a "limited edition" thing. Sounds odd to me, but I'm losing faith in SE all the time.

Bit strange it doesn't work with the P800/900.

I don't think they ever intended to sell those cars. From what I hear, they made them as a gimmick for some exhibition and found that people actually wanted to buy them.

For anybody that has a P800 or P900, Sony Ericsson have released an app to control the car...
