Alright I have a Empeg MKIIA sometimes it works, most of the time it doesnt. When i hook it up in the house i get the blinking LED in the front and the LINK led in the back.

When i hook it up to the serial port and go to hyperterminal, most of the time it wont show any information on hyperterminal. Sometimes when i do the self test however it will go through the self test. THe first time i ran the self test i got this

So i tried again and it went through the correct boot sequence and was working. So i unplugged the player and tried again this time i only got this.

To make a long story short, it works sometimes most of the times it doesn't. Most of the time when i try to do a self-test it doesnt' workk, sometimes it does.

My question is anyone have any ideas on what the problem is, and if its a hardware issue can anyone fix it ASAP and how much will it cost?

Kendrick. Don't worry about it. Just note that there's no need to crosspost on this board. The people that read it that will help read every forum pretty much every day. It's a pretty small community. Sorry about your empeg biting it. I'm sure it's fixible though. Ya might have to be patient but it'll get fixed.

what stinks is that it seemed that he just got his empeg. i'm just hoping that the original owner didn't sell him a lemon on purpose.

If so, then Kendrick is going to get the last laugh when he gets his player repaired and the original owner is stuck with a Phatbox. Or worse... CDs...

i recently bought a second mk2a and it immediately gave me hdd not found errors
i reflowed the solder and crimped the cable and havent had any problems since. i dont think it was sold in an attempt to get rid of a lemon though.
