Try telling the milkshake you couldn't come to the yard.

Because you were out getting stoned.

It'll understand.

My guess is it's something to do with that horrible commercial.

Yeah it is a reference to another of the dumbass drug commercials from the ever-lying and fear mongering Office of National Drug Policy. You know, the same morons that said that buying a bag of weed supports terrorists. I hate the fact that I (joe taxpayer) end up funding something that is really a political advertisment for the failed and stupid war on drugs, disguised as a public health ad.

Can you tell I hate them?

As for Kelis, it's an ok song I guess, kinda catchy.

I often let commercials play when using the TiVo, gives me a moment to do work which requires 100% ignorance of the TV (whereas normally I can only about 50% ignore it )

I actually thought at first it was a reference to this PETA campaign, in predictably poor taste as the organization seems to often be.

As to "soy brings joy", sure, if you're not allergic, and you don't react at all to the synthetic estrogen it provides. Perhaps it's all just an evil ploy by the leftists to feminize men

If you're keeping score at home, I do have some soy problems. Tofu is ok, oddly, but soy sauce is right out.

I assume we've all heard of PETA's newest campaign. They're giving pamphlets to kids whose mothers are wearing fur that say "Your Mommy Kills Animals". Nice. How responsible.

I hope a child somewhere replies "Yeah? Well she's gonna kill you next if she catches you giving me [censored] like this again!"

I haven't seen the ad this post is referring to either thank God for Tivo.

As far as peta goes why would they ever stop doing this crap everytime they do they get tons of free advertising.

Because it's negative advertising? It takes everything in me not to cuss out the people that come here door to door asking for donations. I know there's no sense taking it out on the peons, it just REALLY pisses me off.

They can do all the nude protesting they like, though.

So the cliche that there is no bad publicity isn't true

I think while normal people are turned off by this stuff the loons who would support peta would love this kind of thing.

Why not take it out on the peons maybe they will get discoruged and find something else to be a professional protester for.

In case anyone is still wondering (as I am, I have no clue what the ad is for), I'm only able to clear up the song they're likely refering to. Personally, I can't stand it. How repetitive can you get?

*edit* I'm an idiot, but the song is awful, so I don't feel so bad about mishearing it *edit*

They're giving pamphlets to kids whose mothers are wearing fur that say "Your Mommy Kills Animals".

I believe that wearing fur for the sake of it is wrong. I believe that eating the animal and then wearing it is perfectly fine.

Meat is tasty. Fur is in poor taste.

If you want to discourage fur wearing, just remark to a friend in a voice loud enough to hear "You're right. Fur does make you look fat." when some fur is nearby.

I personally don't wear fur or even like it. I will NOT, however, get upset if someone gives me a pair of fur-lined gloves.
