I installed my tuner kit tuner. It works great but I am seeing a few really strange effects.
1) about once a day My volume starts going up to max (ouch). The volume display shows up on the screen while this is happening. It is not after adjusting the volume and my volume control does not appear to be binding on the faceplate.
2) Only in tuner mode, the display goes black as often as every few minutes for 3-10 seconds at a time. There is no interruption in sound or audible change.

Otherwise the tuner is working great although I have a bit more RPM proportional ground noise than with the mp3 listening.

Something is probably fishy with the stalk connector on your tuner module (the "unused" mini-stereo headphone style jack.
