Hi All,

I need to get a USB hub so that I don't have to juggle my USB devices as much as I have to now... (My 2 additional USB ports that I have on my motherboard don't seem to work, so I only have 2 to work with.)

Anyone know of a dual USB and 100BaseT switch that works well? I've never seen a dual switch, does it exist?

I don't have USB 2.0, but I'm assuming that if I get a switch that both will be supported...

I need to replace this Abit motherboard with a quicker one which is another topic that I'll be posting sometime in the future.

- Thanx

So does no response mean that this kinda thing doesn't exist or was this a dumb question?

I have never seen a combined USB hub and 100BTX switch but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

With USB 2.0 High speed devices, they are able to operate at all three USB speeds (1.5/12/480mbps) so buying a USB 2.0 HS hub now means it will work at 12mbps fine now with your 1.1 host, and when you upgrade you will get the speed improvement without needing a new USB hub.

Sorry, I had written up a long reply that didn't have a product suggestion exactly like yours, so when I got an error from the board that ate my post, I didn't retype it.

I was going to say that I somewhat recently got a basic 1.1 4-port Belkin hub as Best Buy after rebate for $5. Might be worth checking into, but I doubt it's still there.

Other than that, the new Belkin 4-port 2.0 hubs are really nice. Very small and attractive, about half the size of my hub.
