Hi all,

I've just installed my empeg and find that it can randomly switch itself off during operation and when it comes back on it has a small battery icon in the top left of the screen.

It also does this when I switch my lights from main beam to high beam or vice versa :s, it then switches straight back on.

I've had a quick read thru the FAQ but can't find a description of the battery icon, so I am assuming I have my ignition and power leads back to front because the unit also only boots when the ignition is switched on. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I fiddle behind my dash again.

Um, performing a FAQ search on the terms 'Battery Icon' lists the appropriate entry as the very first result. This entry has exactly the information needed to answer your question.

Whose FAQ did you read?

I had this exact sort of situation when I failed to properly tighten the battery cables in my car. Hope your problem is as easy to fix.
