I've been trying to sync e-mail to my palm (I use Yahoo e-mail), but when I was setting up outlook, it took all my e-mail off the Yahoo site and put it onto Outlook. I know you can set it to leave the messages on the server as well, but I didn't check it in time. Is there anyway to put a copy of the messages back onto the Yahoo acct from Outlook?

Only by mailing them back there again (using the "Forward" option). The return addresses will be yours and the messages might be quoted instead of plain text.

Actually, depending on your configuration, you might be able to do this. With outlook 2000, you can have your server account and PST open at the same time, and you can drag and drop things between them. I just tried it and it worked. Just make sure you have your autodownload turned off first...

If Paul's suggestion doesn't work for you, then no.

Is there any way to have it so if I delete the e-mail off the Yahoo account, it will delete it on the Outlook express account? It doesn't do this and I can't find any way to make it do this....

I may be wrong but I don't think that's possible. Outlook is accessing whatever email is on your Yahoo account. The only choice it has is take the email or take the email and leave a copy. My understanding is that its a one way street.

I think you're looking at it the wrong way. The limitation is not Outlook, it's the POP3 protocol spec. You can retrieve messages and delete them from the server. There is no provision in the protocol to put messages back on the server again.

Is the Yahoo interface POP3? I don't think so. IIRC, there was hackery involved to get other mail clients to be able to get its mail. Also, the OP was not asking to put mail back on the Yahoo server, but to have it delete the mails in Outlook if they were deleted at the source, which would be possible with POP and its UIDL command.

If there is, then it's through Yahoo, not Outlook, for the reasons mwest stated.

However, I remember that when I used Hotmail, MS had it set up so that I could have Hotmail account folders in my Outlook folder tree, and they were set up to sync with Hotmail. If I deleted an email in either place, it would be deleted on the other. Naturally, this was probably because of the MS connections, so I no idea if this is possible with Yahoo.

The only thing I can think of is to do some deep searching into Yahoo's options and settings, because I don't think you'll find them in Outlook.
