Hi,
i didn't want to announce anything before i have something in my hands to talk about, but just to wipe away some confusions, i can tell you this:
I have bought the whole empeg-related stuff from Tim (303) as he offered in the ForSale-Forum.
He also sold me the CNC-Data and the part you need to mount the work-piece to the machine. Sorry, if i use wrong words here, i don't know anything about CNC and so on. I have 2 good friends working in a metal shop. As soon i have the data and parts, i will show it to them, trying to produce it like Tim did. If it's possible and not too difficult, i have plans to do a redesign for the use of the original buttons and knob, for beeing able to use the colored buttons from Eutronix.
But i have nothing now at the moment. Tim said, his father (who did the faces) has to go over the data and the work-holding-device, to make it useful to me. (whatever that means)
So i will post here again, as soon as i can come up with details.
Oh, and i will try to make a matching handle as a part of the whole process...

Great news. Will you be able to offer anodizing and a shorter knob too?

I'm so glad to hear that Tim decided to pass along the CNC data to someone. The brushed aluminum face is perfect for my interior and I just had Stu install my lighting kit.
I'll try to contain my enthusiasm until you can bring forth more details...

I have not yet talked to my friends at the metal-shop, cause i must have something to show to them. I think, they can anodize, or at least tell me someone, who can do it.
For the knob, i don't know. I don't own a NewFace til Tims package will arrive.

For the knob, i don't know.
Shortening the knob isn't (well, atleast shouldn't be, AFAICT) a problem technically - I think Tim picked the original length for "grab-ability" when the design was still smooth around the circumference.
Exactly how to provide a good grip on a shorter knob might be something to experiment a little with - maybe knurling, or as Tim later did, cut/mill out evenly spaced halfcircles along the circumference. The diameter is a bit smaller than the stock knob, so you need more grip to provide the torque to turn the knob...

303 did make at least one custom short knob for someone. There was a photo on the bbs but I cant find it. It looked great.

Hey! Very cool!
So would this then be the "New NewFace"? Or the "New^2Face"?
Me.

Great news!
I, too, would be interested in a brushed aluminum face for my Empeg.
I was severely disappointed when, logging on to order a newface, after a brief hiatus from the board, I discovered that he had discontinued them only a week or two previously!
I'm having major install hassles, and I may have to opt out of the Empeg entirely (I'll put details of this tragic event in another thread) but if I can stick it out, a BruFace would be most excellent.
I await with bated breath. (Whatever that means.)

Sigh, I wish 303 would have told me this, I offerd to purchase it also, and when he didn't respond let it drop, if I would have known you were going to make them I wouldn't have dropped money to make a proto-type on friday, oh well par for the course.

I still need the buttons for the illumination kit on a black AnoFace. Will you be producing these? Or will a tiny hole drilled in the buttons suffice? 303 was supposed to send me the illumination buttons but never did.

The buttons for Tims AnoFace are the same type as used on the MkI, listed on the parts list (but transparent instead). Ie, available from Farnell.

I've got a bunch of the transparent farnell buttons for 303's fascia if you need them. PM me your address and I'll drop them in the mail.
