I am very interested in finding, or if necessary developing a Linux driver (server) for the Rio Receiver. Actually, I have the Dell, but I don't think it will make much difference.

Anybody want to play?

There is a FAQ entry on this.

There's also:

...which I just had mailed to me.

not to be daft, but where exactly is the FAQ for this forum?

It's not sticky at the top, an you've referred to it in three different posts without giving an URL..

It's one of the forums, appropriately named "FAQ".

It's right here:

I've been using Jeff's rioserve for few months and have sent him some updates. You can try them out now from my web site, as Jeff hasn't updated his page in quite some time.

http://graflex.org/klotz/rio/

1. Updated installation instructions.
2. The web interface now lets you list by title, artist, album, or genre, not just by title.
3. When you click on a link you get an 'edit' page. You can edit any of the fields and it updates the database.
3a. Editing also updates the MP3 file itself, if you have write permission and mp3info executable installed (I used mp3info-0.8.4-2)
4. Configuration is now in config.pl, not spread into multiple files.
5. Instructions now include specific step-by-step directions for Apache, NFS, DHCP, and SSDP configuration.

Sorry folks -- I had an underscore instead of a hyphen. The download is now fixed.

Please visit http://graflex.org/klotz/rio again -- you may have to press reload.
