I've just purchased my 1st receiver from ebay in the States and have connected it to my wireless network router.

I thinking of ripping my cd's to a lossless format so I can play across my network using the receiver in the kitchen and a media server in the living room (quality rme soundcard into a power amp).

What lossless format can be applied to the receiver (FLAC only or are there others)?

Will a wireless network have the bandwith to play lossless files?

What front end on the media server do you recommend which can play the lossless files?

I've looked at the websites for the upgrades to the receiver, is there simple step by step instructions (I've never attempted this kind of upgrade)? I currently run windows Xp.
