Hi Folks.

Newbie here. I received (no pun intended) my first re-badged Dell receiver from tigerdirect.ca. I ordered it Sunday night and it arrived 4 days later.

I screwed myself up by having the 1.03 s/w pre-loaded on the intended music server machine which caused me some grief. Once I got it off, and loaded the 1.04 the receiver came to life and starting playing tunes. Based on that success, I ordered a second unit. I'm rapidly running out of LAN ports!.

In case any one's interested, I'm running a LinkSys wireless router with an 8 port SMC switch. The receiver is connected to the SMC and has no problem finding the Windows 98SE machine with the "manager" software.

I was quite impressed and pleased that the receiver sends a "wake on lan" packet to the network, which means that I don't have to have the server on all the time. Nice touch.
