Clicking on 64 or 65 I get 403 Forbidden.

Clicking on "Current" works fine.

Fixed my problem with creating new playlists! Sweet! I can't believe how fast that was!

Rebuild/Fast on PC doesn't work w. my player though. It was super fast (30 seconds?) but my player is now rebuilding on reboot...

And you're using a v3 kernel? Every once in a while this happens on mine, but it usually clears itself up after one full Empeg rebuild and works after that for a while. I wish I understoof what was going on when that happens though -- my code just dumps the exact same files over FTP. I suspect it may have to do with the player having the files open or running while I do this, but I really don't know for sure.

Anyone to stop bombing the forum w/ posts, 66 is up :
1) Always do a normal rebuild on a fiailure
2) Got rid of the separate in-memory vs pc rebuild -- it's just fast rebuilding now
3) Clean up soup listeners on a Revert or Redownload to avoid race condition on updating old soups while downloading
4) Oh yeah, and i was removing empty soups backwards, so if you had a one tune 3-layer soup and the tune's tags changed, it was not cleaning up the old playlists because it was trying to remove the top one first

I'm stupid. You mentioned needing a 3.0alpha in your other post.... I'm running 2.0 final. Sorry to waste your time! :O

On a side note, I noticed an option for selecting the first empeg that is sensed during Network Broadcast. I can get it to highlight, but it doesn't automatically connect and download the player info. Is it supposed to? It'd be nice to just launch Jemplode and have it attach to my player, saving a step.

I wonder if it's waiting for discovery to end, which takes FOREVER (one of those annoying yet boring long-time bugs).

I'm adding support for v2 now, but I don't have a v2 handy to test it out ... I basically just write "database" instead of "database3" as the filename.

... OK 67 ...
1) v2 fast db rebuilds
2) properly write all the tag names out to the tags file

Let me answer my own question.. from the empeg chat room on IRC:

<SE_Brad> OMG! My database rebuild went from 16 minutes to 8 minutes using Mark Lord's fidsift and now to less than 30 seconds using Jemplode!

I'm using 2.00final on the player and Jemplode 67! Way to go! And to think, just today I was going on and on about how cool the "sync in background" feature was! Now I only get to enjoy it for 30 seconds!

I just tested on the player (it's in the basement, so I used Tony's empegFace to do this) I browsed my playlists and the songs are where I moved them!

This is so cool!

Amazing what throwing the power of a 2+ Ghz computer can do for constructing a 100k file

I don't know that I've ever actually been on #empeg ... I hopped on over on efnet, but it seems kind of quiet.

There are 10 of us logged in now... usually WAY off topic, but still fun.

The one he's talking about isn't on efnet. It's on an IRC server dedicated to the empeg channel -- irc.phoobot.org
