Not sure if anyone has seen this before or posted about it (didn't try searching as the search would have been too broad) but recently while I was doing a full play of all my songs on my player, I noticed that quite a number of them were "marked". This isn't usually a big deal except what I usually do is I'll throw up new music and over time I tend to mark ones to delete the next time I refresh my empeg. So I take the empeg and look at it in jemplode and about 1/4 of my songs are marked for some reason. I know I never manually marked all these in the car nor in jemplode (it would take too much time!). Also when I tried to unmark them in jemplode and sync up, it would not "unmark" them. So right now I'm having to load up all my songs in the player and manually unmark each song as they show up.

I'm currently using v3a7 with Hijack v413.

Anyone ever seen this before, and also how do I do a mass "unmark" of these songs in jemplode?

This is a known bug in V3a7.

To correct the problem for sure, you must use software version 2.0 final. No word yet on whether this has changed in V3a9, since that only just came out a couple of hours ago.

So is the bug w/ v3a7 that they magically mark or that jEmplode can't unmark them? I believe that jEmplode hasn't been able to unmark things for a while and I've never known why. I believe it's because dynamic data is not updated properly, but I was never able to figure out why or what was exactly going wrong (i.e. me or the Empeg). I seem to recall I tried to unmark from Emplode and could not do it either -- is this consistent with what you're saying/seeing?

Even with Alpha 11, you can not "unmark" a track from within emplode 2.00. Alpha 11 no longer marks them randomly, but you may find some tracks marked from previous alphas. Instead, just use the remote either by a short press of the 4 button or the Mark (Cancel) button itself.

It's just weird that the problem is that the player won't let emplode change the track markings. Maybe the data is stored differently? If so, then how would emplode even see they are marked? (Showing my ingorance in how this stuff works..)
