Paul,
Thank you for the mixes. Thank you for providing them for free.
A cue sheet would be great. Just need the Empeg to support cue sheets then!
Would it be possible to provide future mixes as a Vorbis FLAC torrent (best) or a Vorbis Ogg torrent (a good compromise)?

I would vote for HQ MP3, seeing as V2 doesn't support OGG or FLAC.
Also not too much into downloading 12x as much to get the FLAC file.
But that's just me.
And yes, thank you Paul. Great mixes. You really need to do a Psyche/Goa mix some day. <hint>

I'd be up for seeding the torrents, but I transcoded all the mixes to 160 CBR... just because. I'll download the latest ones and seed those, but... I kind of don't know how. If I download the ones via HTTP, don't I just open the associated .torrent and let the client just sit there? Or set the client to "seeder" or something?

With most BitTorrent clients, when you get import a torrent you will get asked where to save the resulting downloaded file. If, at this point, you point to a file which already exists, the BitTorrent client should check this file to see how much of it matches the block hashes stored in the torrent file. (I.e. to see how many blocks of the file are the same as the one the torrent file was created on.) With programs like Azureus and ABC - that can save partial files as 'sparse' files - this will resume partially downloaded files. If you've got an exact copy, then you've got an instant seed.
The safer course is to skip the HTTP step; download it through the BitTorrent client entirely. This will give you a much more reliable download and seeding process, as it avoids the problems of having a slightly changed file for some reason (e.g. changing ID3v2 data). It's certainly the preferable option if you don't have a low monthly download ceiling.
(I've just got to get the Laser Through Smoke torrents seeded properly now... Will do tonight.)
I really appreciate anyone that can leave their seeds open for as long as possible. Though I now have a symmetric 512kbit connection, every extra seed helps!
Have fun,
Paul

Thanks for the tip. The only BitTorrent download I ever did was 3x 650 meg files and it was slow as [ C E N S O R E D ]. Literally took 40 hours each, max about 10k/sec for a few minutes before going idle for hours, and it took tons of micro-management because the streams kept dropping.
Downloading a mix over HTTP is generally simple. Start the download, walk away. If I can download it from HTTP, then seed it using BitTorrent, that seems best for me. I will try it with one to test.
Oh yeah, and do keep posting info here. Maybe it's because I don't read Off Topic much (until lately), but I missed your latest 8 mixes. The Hyperdog mix helped me 1 hour 15 minute commute from work to school today. Always good to listen to!

Paul's probably maxing out his connection anyway, so downloading it from his site via HTTP is very unlikely to go faster.
Unless your BitTorrent stuff is set up wrong. The more you upload, the more you download. You have to make sure your network is set up so that people can initiate remote connections to your computer or you'll never get any decent download speeds.
Azureus, the client I use, has a test feature to make sure that your network is set up properly. It's really just forwarding one port (for Azureus -- I think others may use up to about ten ports) to your computer if you have a firewall.
Also, I've never seen Torrents magically stop. Maybe you were being kicked somehow because you weren't sharing anything? Or maybe there was a bug in the client you were using. All in all, my experience with Torrents is that it's a start it and leave it process.

Actually, I get the opportunity to correct wfaulk twice here:
At the moment my connection is sitting at around 10kbps, roughly one fifth of its capacity. So the BitTorrent side is not a problem.
And the HTTP connection is actually from Synergy's server, a completely different machine on a colocated box somewhere. It seems to have phenomenally good transfer rates but has run out of hard disk space; and Synergy seems unwilling or unable to upgrade it (despite my offers to pay for it).
So on the one hand if someone wants to offer the drive space and colocation to set up another HTTP server, then that'd be fine. But I think BitTorrent is becoming more prevalent, and spreads the bandwidth load more efficiently. If people can leave the mixes seeding for as long as possible, that helps everyone!
Have fun,
Paul
P.S. I should have added another poll to the list:
