It ought to be using them based on the amount pixels they produce as well as the location of said pixels. Old-school B&W-only ones do that properly. Actually, it does it that way when you select "ASCII" mode, but not when you select colored mode. Weird. _________________________ Bitt Faulk

Edit: Oh I see what you're saying. When you combine color and ASCII, it's not doing the same thing as it did when it was just ASCII. Hm.

When in colorized mode, each character is merely a pixel, and the character color governs the value. When in ASCII mode, each character is a brightness value. There's no way to combine both without deliberately throwing away the usefulness of assigning each pixel a color. _________________________ Tony Fabris
