drakino carpal tunnel Registered: 08/06/1999 Posts: 7868	I don't see it ever taking off anytime soon, or if it does, it being effective. Right now there is firmware in my DVD drive that enables region coding. But there also exists a firmware flash for it to strip the region code out, and allow it to read any region. I'm sure something similar will happen if this is ever implemented.
