I recently got a new car and moved my Empeg into it. Everything works fine (after dealing a nasty Alternator whine) except for one thing. Every now and then, maybe once a week, I'll get into the car and turn it on, the Empeg boots up, and then turns off (or in standby mode, whatever it is called). I can turn it back on easily enough, but it is kind of weird. I never turn it off before shutting down the ignition, and it never did that in my old car. I guess it is losing power or something, but it is so random I can't figure out what the problem might be. If the ignition switch wire wasn't connected it would always turn itself off, not every once in a while like it does. Any ideas? Negative Spike Bug?

Are you running V3alpha, or 2.0?

v3alpha8. Sorry, I should have mentioned it, but I have had this on here for a while and it wasn't doing it in the old car.

I have this problem, too. Just to test to see if it's the same problem, one time let it remain in standby until you turn the car off again, then when you restart the car, see if it turns back on as normal. If so, that's exactly what mine does. I'm pretty sure it's a low-voltage-during-startup problem, which I haven't bothered to fix yet, as I've got at least two other problems going on as well.

Yeah, that's why I asked, I get that behavior from both players in both cars. Both run V3Alpha8. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Interesting. Yup, it did it to me this morning, so I tried what you described and it came on fine when I started it back up again. Very strange.
