I think my Karma's dead, it just keeps clicking. I've whacked it a few times and let it run the battery down and recharge before starting but still the same. Is there anything else I can do or is it dead?

Whack it harder? It takes a good thump. Of course, a good thump can also kill it. Hard to strike a balance, though even if you break it more, you aren't really out anything. Rob once said they had a machine from hitachi that thumped the drives with exactly the right amount of force. Kind of makes one wonder about refurbished products.

Matthew thanks very much mate, I whacked it a LOT harder than I would ever have dared, it's just loaded the playlist and started

Glad to hear it worked! You're lucky, apperently what usualy kills them is leaving it on when the head has gotten stuck. If it does it again, whack it as soon as possible to avoid burning out the stepper motor.

It was quite hot when I started whacking it again, very hard against a wooden worktop.
