Couldn't find much info googling for this, and this is an excellent place to ask
Can an (atmospheric) Ion detector detect li-ion batteries?
What I'm getting at is, there have been a number of thefts reported to our Sales company about laptop theft, most cases people had lots of other things in their vehicles however they were left untouched, cash, cd's etc only the laptop taken..
In one case a builder had a Ute with the notebook hidden beneath tools and gear etc, the thief had to move all the heavy tools and gear to get to the laptop bag.. That's all that was taken and the thousands of dollars worth of tools left!...
So my theory is are these thief's using some kind of ion detector?
Is that even possible?
If so what material could block leaking ion gases or even the detector?
My idea would be to create a laptop bag with this material
