Hello everyone, Im having a small problem with my serial connection to my Mark 2. I just picked up a new empeg along with a new computer. My computer didn't have an on-board serial so I installed a PCI one. I couldn't get it to work. So I went to an older computer with an on-board serial and I still couldn't get the serial connection to work. Also, the serial cable I have is not the one that came with the empeg, its one I just bought from the computer store, a normal female to female serial wire. Is this ok or is the empeg serial wire different. And if its not what is the reason its not connecting. I can get it to connect with USB and ethernet if that matters.

You need a null modem cable, not a standard straight-through. Check your empeg boxes...maybe it's still in one of them.

Thanks for the help, that was the problem. Finished updating all the software and installed the Newface.
