So this is what I've done with some of my spare time in the last little while.

Started as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend - but it's something I have to keep giving because I seem to be responsible for maintenance, development and population: http://www.pricenetwork.ca/gallery/index.php?cat=22060

So... you're growing plants in a jar?
Sweet.

Yeah, but no leeks.

It's the right time of year to be planting 'em

[pirate]Aye, it be an Aquarium.[/pirate]

Empeg-style of course. CO2 being injected from a 10lbs cylinder and now being controlled by an electronic pH controller. The filter has built-in heater with digital temperature readout.

I just wish I had all this stuff connected to ethernet. Yes, I suppose you might be able to find some ultra expensive controllers that will give you all this monitoring as an ip device. Maybe for a bigger tank when I nest move. This one was a Christmas gift for my girlfriend.

Try this. A friend of mine bought a couple of this sort of thing which had ADC/DAC/digital I/O lines for controlling something not entirely dissimilar to your project.

Would this be of use? Simple to set up.

EDIT: Found better site

Both those solutions would be great.... If I had monitors that could be connected to them and if I knew how to develop any of this myself. I was thinking more along the lines of something I would just plug in and use. As far as developing stuff, I've already got my plate full and it's already racking my nerves.

Now that's a pretty cute one, I'll admit. I've not seen those before.

The site player at it's simplest is just simple embedded commands in HTML, it takes very little setup I'm told.

Yeah. It is very basic in terms of what it can do. You need another uC to actually do any useful work with it unless you're happy with it just showing you the on/off status of it's I/O lines.
