When in Syracuse, go to Dinosaur BBQ. It's not an option!

Sorry, I live about 4 hours from Syracuse and know nobody who lives there. Somehow, I've been to Dinosaur 4 times in my life. The same amount of times I've been to (or close to) Syracuse.

I'm from Syracuse, and I know of at least one other empegger in the area from a previous inquiry

I'll try my best to answer any questions you have about Syracuse, I've been here for my entire life so hopefully I can be useful. I'm also quite familiar with most of the areas around Syracuse.

I also second the Dinosaur BBQ, I grab takeout at least once a week, usually while my car is getting fixed at Walt's across the street.

Well at least I know where to go eat!

Oliver, what is the availability of tech jobs like?
Also a run down of the ups & downs of living in Syracuse and the areas around would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Okay, now you've piqued my curiosity!

I had assumed you were inquiring about Syracuse because you had a job offer there and were contemplating moving there.

So why the interest in moving to a place you've never seen if it isn't for work? Or... perhaps SWMBO has a job offer there, and you'll relocate for that reason?

Not that it is any of my business...

Well Douglas it like this. To stay where we our and have a life we'd need to either greatly increase our income or move into a shoebox sized apartment. Syracuse or similar would let us have a house & a life & a family.
I don't mind answering the question(s) it gives background and understanding to the question, something which I'm not good at laying out up front.
