I need advice on Document Imaging Systems. I work for a company that deals with A LOT of paperwork. Bank Statements, state reports, legal documents, all sorts of crap. We looked into getting a professional company to handle it but apparantly these companies have some huge setup fee and then its 25 cents a page -- a little much.
I'm looking for input on Document Imaging Systems like the
Canon CD4070 or some such device. I want a simple way to get all of our paperwork in a digital format. One person in the office would be handling all of it. As we get new documents in, I'd like her to be able to scan them and archive them in some sort of easily searchable format. The documents should be easy to scan, retrieve and search. I'll add that I dont expect more than 5 people to be accessing the documents.
This Canon is like $8,000 so any input would be greatly appreciated!
