Judging by length alone, this is clearly the best thread in the forum

There have been so many threads and posts. I remember when this forum was created to clear up the General forum. It's clear this was needed, as you can see from the records that even though Off Topic is newer than General by over two and a half years, it has a good number more total posts. Granted, the topics covered are, well, infinite, but the fact that people want to post so much is a good sign.

What I love about the Off Topic forum is that I clearly shows what kind of community we have here. There are many online communities that have topical forums, there are even some that have a very good signal/noise ratio, but I know of very few that have open forums like ours that contain such civil members.

I've always been partial to this one.

I know -- it was in the "General" forum, but it was posted before the "Off Topic" forum was created.

I'm also pretty fond of Tony's post here.

One of my favorite threads was what turned into the Desert Island thread. I found a lot of good CDs because of that thread.
