today i tried to put music on my rio for the first time since buying an ipod and using itunes and emplode couldn't read the file type (MPEG-4) that itunes uses. i have downloaded a lot of my cds with itunes and don't want to rip them again with another program. i have tried to convert the files with db power amp and it dosen't read the itunes file type.

has anyone else had this problem? is there a program to convert the file type to mp3?

There's probably a plugin for dBpoweramp to read mpeg-4 audio files and convert them, but you don't really want to do that. You'd be combining lossy compression over lossy compression -- the same as ripping to mp3 and then converting those mp3s to a different bitrate mp3.
