as you probably already know, I had some problems with windows and had to repair it, but now i am having some problems with my scanner. I tried to reinstall the drivers, but it is saying "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)" I used the CCleaner, but it didn't seem to help. Should I try to delete it from the registry? I don't want to since I don't know what I am doing, but there doesn't seem to be any solution that works. I am using a Canon CanoScan N650 U scanner. The CD that originally came with it doesn't have the Xp drivers on it, so I downloaded those off the Canon website.

I've had good experiences with Canon tech support, I'm sure if you called them, they'd find a solution for you.

You could try removing it from Device Manager (Right Click on My Computer) and then re-installing.
