I have a mk2a and everytime I try to install the firmware I get the Error "Couldnt find pump" occured during stage 0x20 .

If i connect it to hypterminal I just get this message looping over and over

I purchased a new hard drive cable thinking that may be the problem. I am using the 10GB drive that came with the player, and also tried a 30GB drive . When power is applied to the player neither of the drives spin up, not sure if they are supposed to.

The light on the front blinks on/off , the blue light and there is a red light inside the player that stays lit.

Hmm, i used the custom mark builder and that worked. I think the stock one is corrupted.
