OK, I cant really think of any way, but two holding down the bottom button for an extended period of time will cycle through the visuals in the same way that the remote does. I find that the only time I use the remote is to cycle through visuals. I don't recognize the visuals by their name or what category they are in (in the menus) to get much use out of them without the remote.
