I have a MKII empeg with 2 hard drives. I lately have been getting the dreaded "No Hard Drive Found" error (which I thought might be caused by a loose IDE cable connection. However, today after my empeg wouldn't boot up at all i got worried so I took it apart. It doesn't seem that the hard drives are spinning at all. I didn't see anything in the FAQ about hard drives not spinning, but i might have missed it. Any suggestions on what might cause it?

Because the empeg's hard drive is powered through the IDE cable, a regular connection problem has the potential to deny the hard drive its power. Check here for the IDE cable pinouts.

Is this only on AC-adapter power, or does it happen both at home and in the car? If it only happens in one or the other location, then... (from in the usual place):

# Not enough juice to spin up the disk drives, for instance, if the AC adapter is faulty or if there is something wrong with the power supply wiring in the car.

Otherwise, go carefully through every single bullet point on that list.
