Trying to add a 120G disk, I am trying to run the "Mark Lord Special Disk Builder" (builder_bigdisk.upgrade), it gets to "Selecting pump device" but then nothing further happens.

The disk is a 120G Samsung, connected as the main and only disk.

Any hints/suggestions?

Mmm.. I've never actually used the builders myself, or at least not on any drive over 30GB. They reportedly do work, though. So I wonder what's strange in this case. Master/slave jumper?

Any chance of a serial port capture (log) ?

??

Found the problem - the classic bent IDE header on main board

Guess what I have to do is switch over the display board and the disks from this one to the spare unit (that has a failing rotary encoder). Are the display boards of MK II:s and Rio's interchangeable?

Yes, quite interchangeable.

As long as you remember that the knob is different for the Mk2 encoder shaft and the Rio Car enoder shaft.
