Just figured out what was up with some of our avatars vanishing after the server move.

Back in the old days, a bunch of us posted attachments to an "avatar" thread. This was back in the days before the BBS software let us upload avatars directly.

Mine was done so long ago that it was back in the day when it was http://empeg.comms.net instead of http://empegbbs.com .

So just now, I edited my personal information so that my avatar, instead of pointing to
http://empeg.comms.net/files/187965-avatar.jpg
it now points to
http://empegbbs.com/files/187965-avatar.jpg
... and all is well again.

I wonder if any of the thread links in the FAQ still point to empeg.comms.net any more?

It's possible there are quite a few broken links scattered around out there due to the move. I'll try to contact PaulH, and see if he can just add in a CNAME for the domain, so that even if the boards move again, he shouldn't need to do anything.
