Seems that it's a popular site right now. Looks like it's down. When it was up, I tried and tried but couldn't get it to work. It told me that every photo I tried failed. It's interesting how humorous error messages get very irritating after many tries. I tried two different photos, then tried them cropped, then tried different color depths (just in case), then tried different file formats (png instead of jpg), and lastly was trying photos taken with a different camera when the system hung on the import. Now I can't get back in.
I love the idea, though! I can't wait to try it again!

Try the second link, it doesn't need photos. It's like a less sophisticated Mii builder or the South Park character creater from a long while back. One thing to note is that it's impossible to make real characters with the choices given by the interface. For starters you can't change the shape of the head nor the clothing design (only its colours).

So has anyone been to a 7-11 to get some Simpsons-related stuff? Has anyone been to a Kwik-E-Mart?

Yes.
Oops! I thought I'd seen that someone went to one. Sorry about that! Did yours also seem like an odd spot to have one? The "Washington DC" one was in Bladensburg Maryland. No offense to the people there, but it's a particularly bland place. Mostly industrial and warehouses as far as I could tell. Then, randomly, there's one of 12 Kwik-E-Marts in the entire country. You would have thought they would have transformed one in a more populated area. Hell, in my hometown (which is very close to DC), there are two 7-11's within half a mile of each other (but only one Starbucks!).
The store its self was pretty neat, even though there wasn't much inside. I got a Squishee, a box of Krusty O's (which is Fruit Loops, if anyone was curious), and a can of Buzz Cola. Oh, and donut
My favorite part had to be the Frostilicus sticker they put on one of the freezers.
*edit* Oh yeah, and the employees appear to be required to say "Thank you, come again."

Only funny if they do it in Apu's accent.
