Out of curiosity, what's the serial number of your player?

Please don't take that as an accusation, it just seems as if you're missing an awful lot of stuff and seems like someone could have sold you a stolen player.

i clicked on the buttons link, and i emailed them and haven't gottena response. not sure if people have realized this, but the website seems kind of behind the times, some of the links work and some don't. Wasn't sure if the website was legit or not yet. I wouldn't mind going to www.pacparts.com for the kenwood remote, but i don't know the part number and kenwood has about 14 remotes. I have everything except the tuner and remote, including the original packaging and what not. it's not stolen, nor will i post tthe serial number as that doesn't seem to be a very smart move now does it??

Here on the BBS we always encourage people to post serial numbers in the For Sale forum when they're selling a player. Why does it seem like a bad idea to you to do the same when you're asking to buy accessories?

to me a serial number is kind of private, to be use when an item gets stolen. i dunno, i just wouldn't feel comfortable posting a serial number online, just like my phone number, address, or SSN.

Hi almond

Welcome to the board - you'll love Stu's buttons - great quality. I've got 2 sets !

Don't worry about the serial number - it's normal around here; mines "30103154". I've even attached a piccy (that's the normal way since it's secure - but you can just give the number - they're encoded to spot 'made up' ones)

We're a very friendly bunch (honest) but we are cautious.

Not many empegs get sold without a sled or remote - but because the unit slides out it is easy to steal without the sled.

And if you've been the victim of a crime we'd really like to help you - I'm sure you don't want a stolen player and I know you'd be grateful if someone stole your system and some simple common sense behaviour on a BBS helped you get it back

Please don't take offense and understand that we're just getting to know you.

Cheers

Actually it's not Stu who sells the buttons now, but Chris (firefox31)
Stu does the light kits.
But i know why he won't react to mails, he's still touring Scotland after the European meet. I think he's at the Isle of Arran now.

oh, lol i think we have a misunderstanding i have the sled and all those parts. original box and some original software. i just wanted an extra one. i can post the serial number i guess. not very comfortable with it. but still. i'll probably order the buttons from the link, i found the remote part number and a few on ebay, and i'll probably just rebuild the harness on the back of the sled with some better parts ( the rca wires are starting to come out a bit, and i just want them in there better) the tuner i'd still like to get though. that link doesn't work for me. if you realy want to know my go to www.forum.realmofexcursion.com and look up the same user name.

Yes, the tuner website had been broken for a while, since everyone who wanted one bought a tuner. I think Patrick, who made the tuner kits, still has some left. Send him (pca) a personal message via the bbs, he doesn't check in that often though, so you might have to be patient.

Failing that, someone might have a spare that they want to sell.

D'oh - of course - I was thinking about my display extender (I've been thinking about that a lot recently!)
