The Empeg Wiki has been a huge headache for me in the last few weeks due to MediaWiki being hacked numerous times. I've pretty much had enough of restoring and patching it, especially since it doesn't seem that people really use it anyway.

I'm going to shut it down and drop the domain. If anyone wants everything from it, just let me know.

Save its data in case there's something needed. IIRC the parts list is up to date there and we should move that over to the FAQ. Someone correct me if I'm remembering that wrong.

I'm not sure if it's more current than the FAQ.

I'm happy to give the domain (including all the data, of course) to Tom or anyone else that feels like running it. Actually, I don't mind hosting it. If someone else wanted to just jump in and help out or take over keeping MediaWiki from getting hacked, I'm all for it.

OK, I have the latest backups available for download here.

As of today I set the domain to redirect to the BBS. If anyone wants the domain, just ask, otherwise I'll be letting it expire.

With not much interest in the wiki aspect these days, I'll set up a static copy of it somewhere here and call it good. I'll take care of that sometime this weekend.

Maybe it would make sense to throw it up on Wikia? Free and no one has to worry about server administration.

I like this idea. Created http://empeg.wikia.com/ - I imagine there is no 'import' function in Wikia, and the pages will have to be copy/pasted in manually? I haven't had a very good look to be honest.

A bit tied up for a few days, but I can help with moving the Wiki over when I get some free time eventually.
