Might as well start one of these up, report any issues you spot with the boards now that they are upgraded to 7.4.5.2.

Bottom couple of forums under "Rio Receiver" and "Rio Advanced Digital Audio Center" are coming up all-unread for me.
I.e., "Wish List" and "Bug Reports" in those groups are all-unread now.
Also: The RCA puppy favicon disappeared. Can we get him back? I liked him.

I saw similar weirdness with those boards, not sure how to fix it properly. I marked them all as read, as I was caught up at the time. Probably some weird legacy quirk of the merge, I'll go rebuild some things to see if it fixes it.
And the favicon is back, despite UBB's attempt to kill him off again. Will probably take your browser a bit to pick up on it.

And now I get a "Forum is currently closed" banner at the top. Even though I can post.

Thats because you are an admin. And I had no idea the rebuild option I clicked would take so long, and shut it down. *sigh*

Me too on the unread posts...
Ok, I see it now, "Mark all Read" is at the bottom of every page.

I'm seeing naked text formatting tags from older posts. examples in this post- http://empegbbs.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/327506/1Thanks for all the effort you put into this board, drakino!

My only issues are ones I PM'ed you. A few elements are not as pretty as they were before, but maybe that's just me. I wish I could see a side-by-side of the before and after on the themes to see what was different, but the icons and such look different and not as good.

HTML poking through on old posts is likely due to the rebuild I did. Trying to think of a good way to fix that one.
As for the icons, they should be pretty much the same. Doing a side by side of the front page when I had 7.5 on the beta board only revealed text size changes. I am seeing some minor formatting differences in places, but much like you, can't pin it down to what exactly.

There's now a style called "empegbbs_copy". Select it (down at the bottom of the page) and see if that looks right.

Yeah, the black space between them didn't use to be there. I'm not too concerned about that one.

Bah, attempts to fix the old posts have backfired a bit. I can fix it, I just need to do a partial restore from backup. I'll look into this more tomorrow, my SQLfu has failed me a bit tonight, and I ran into issues doing the restore.

The timespan on the (Advanced) search screen now defaults to a week, where it used to default to basically forever, which was much more useful.

Ah, yes, that's something that Tom has to remember to fix by hand, each time he upgrades the board.

not certain if this is the right place to post this... but has anyone else been having trouble with the Forum Search feature? i just now dropped a new drive in my mk2 empeg (first upgrade i've had to make on it YEARS now, since the disk was dying) and given the drive's large size, i had some difficulty.
well... all sorts of search terms generate "no results" when i know there are threads about them on the boards. i've been leveraging Google with the site: operator to find threads... but having the board search working would help.
For instance, if i go to search and then advanced search and i input "250" into the box (looking for threads on the 250 GB drive situation, since that's my new hard disk) and search titles only, i get "There are no results for your query. Please try a broader range of search criteria."
suggestions? (on this or on my never-ending quest for the bigdisk builder images which i no longer can find anywhere)

suggestions? (on this or on my never-ending quest for the bigdisk builder images which i no longer can find anywhere) heh, well... one mystery less. i found the page at http://rtr.ca/bigdisk, so my 250 GB drive is at least functional (sort of) and reading half its size. emplode still won't play nice, but jemplode works ok. (again, at half capacity) still... as long as the sync is successfull in a bit, this will be enough to get me through the next few days for more googling and searching. I just hope my issues with the forum search feature end soon so i can do more advanced digging here.

if you use multiple search terms, put a "+" in front of each
Mark did a 750 gig drive with the bigdisk builder, so it should easily handle 250gb

if you use multiple search terms, put a "+" in front of each not using multiple terms... i just input "250" into the search box and get zero results. i can put just about anything in the search box and get no results. what could be causing this?

It doesn't (and never did) like search terms three characters long or less.
