after formating the disk i get the drive already built.
and it not getting any better after removing the fids in hyperterminal.

drive is 160gb
player is a mk2

just builder_bigdisk_v4 and then car2_v3a11_hijack-

when this is done it wount connect whit serielport,it works for a minute whit ubs then i get a error 41002.

so the question is is it formated correctly ? what have i done wrong?

The tools are easily confused, that's all.

Mark has made a version of the bigdisk builder which will wipe a drive even if it's already built. This is "builder_bigdisk_v6.upgrade" which is available at http://rtr.ca/bigdisk/ . Use that first.

Next, don't use V3 alpha unless you absolutely have a need to play OGG and FLAC files. Instead, use car2_v2.01_hijack.upgrade, again found at http://rtr.ca/bigdisk/ .

After doing that, let us know how it goes.
