I know this is probably a REALLY stupid question, BUT, is it possible for a playlist to repeat indefinitely?? I keep on running out of songs on the current playlist and I'd really like it to loop rather than just stopping and me having to press play again. I've had a look in the manual and can't see it mentioned anywhere.

Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers,
Andy

Playlists can be tagged as "Automatically Repeat" in emplode. Just go in and get the playlists' properties, tag them, then do a synch.

In version 1.1, you will be able to toggle repeat on and off with the remote control.

Note: There's a bug, I'm pretty sure it's still in the current software, where the "repeat" attribute doesn't get remembered across power pulls. In other words, if you start a repeating playlist, but pull the power before it's done, then when you re-apply power, it won't repeat the playlist unless you re-select the playlist from scratch.

How do you start a repeating playlist with the current software? Can it only be done via Emplode or is there something on the remote or in the menus that lets you repeat the current playlist?

Thanks,
Andy

To start a playlist, you simply select it from the Playlists menu.

- If the playlist is tagged as "always repeat", then it will repeat when it's done.

- If the playlist is not tagged as "always repeat", then it will not repeat when it's done.

There is no way (that I know of) in the current software to change a playlist to "repeat" on-the-fly. In version 1.1, there will be a way to do this.

You can but it doesn't give the desired effect of repeating other sub-lists.

Andy

Doesn't it? It certainly should do. Could you spell out exactly what the problem is, and we'll look into it?

Peter (leaving no Desired Effect unturned)

Hi Peter,

what I meant was that if you choose a sub list, because the root list is set to repeat, a sublist will not repeat. I think this was what was being suggested (and was what I was originally asking in this thread).

I guess I'll just have to start waiting with baited breath for 1.1, just like everyone else!

Cheers,
Andy

Then why don't you just tag your sub-lists to repeat, too?

I'm in the habit of always ticking that little box every time I create a new playlist anyway, all of my playlists are set to auto-repeat.

Is there a quick way of tagging all playlists to repeat? I didn't create any playlists actually. I have my MP3 collection on a harddrive organised by Artist and album. I dragged the whole colection in and so all the playlists were done automatically. There are a LOT of them! Can't really do it manually.

Cheers,
Andy
