I think that it might be nice to have it as an option that instead of the current synchronising you could have an option to sync in the background so that the player software keeps going playing music while songs are uploaded onto the Empeg. I know that would probably slow thinks down greatly but that would not concern me as this would be the option that would use when not in a hurry and using the empeg as house stereo. When in a hurry you could have a option in emplode to do it quickly with the empeg stoping the music as it does just now.

This is unlikely to happen (even in v1.1) as during a download the database is not in a state where it can be accessed - ie, things may come and go, hierarchies may change.

v1.1 *does* preserve your playlist though, so your empeg carries on from where it was before the sync after the sync completes.

If you use Winamp & displayserver it continues playing right through song uploads & syncs. I was suprized when I tried it the other day.
