When I try to go into GMail, sometimes it takes nearly a minute for the window to open, sometimes it times out before it opens. This has been going on for the past week or so. Just now when I deleted an email it took about 15 seconds for the deletion to actually occur.

Are other people experiencing anything like this?

The timeout is very short so probably not a dual stack issue but what does test-ipv6.com say when you go there?

I'm really sorry, because a while back I had the same problem, and GMail was running really slowly, no matter what I did, whether it's opening various emails, performing searches, navigating to other labels, etc. It was this way despite my using Chrome and even Google's DNS. But at some point they either fixed it or I did something that improved things.

I can't remember if it was clearing my cache or what, but somehow I fixed it. If I remember I'll let you know...

Yeah. Thats fine. I was wondering if it was because of a problem with IPv4+IPv6 but you've only got IPv4 by itself which is fine. Its something else thats causing this problem.

Do you have any web proxies or filters enabled? Tried another browser or another computer if you've got one over there?

And have you tried clearing your cache? I really think it could help...

FWIW, I recently got a message saying that the Firebug extension in Firefox makes gmail slow, and to turn it off.

Other than that, it seems to vary, for me. Is it just gmail that's slow, or are other things slow at the same time?

Just gmail. Sometimes it opens normally, but most of the time there is a long delay.

I cleared the cache, and there seems to be no difference in behavior. I haven't taken the time to try the other things people have suggested. I have bookmarked that one website that seems to have interesting options.
