I've installed Jemplode 1.03 on Virtual PC 4.02, but it won't connect to the player (trying with ethernet). Am I right in thinking that the empeg specific TCP/IP settings should be configured on my Mac, or do I also have to enter them into the fake Windows environment?

I've seen some tricky stuff with getting Windows and VirtualPC to talk to each other. I had a friend here at work who had to do precisely that recently. It took him a little fiddling to get it right.

Unfortunately, he's on vacation and so his "cute little apple laptop" isn't here for me to check. So I don't know exactly how to get it set up and working. I know that there's something you have to set in VirtualPC, and some other stuff you have to set in Windows, I just don't know what.

Enter TCP/IP info into VPC control panel as well, and everything is working.

Well, if you come to the Owner's meet in October, then all you have to do is persuade Sally to come over as well. Doug (tanstaafl) is thinking about coming from Alaska.... That's definitely going to get him the distance prize - and he might win Best Install if he ships the recumbent over with him....

Mind you though, there's going to be competition from my TR 6 install and Rob's OTT Supra Special....

Looks like it might be a weekend bash at "The Beekse Bergen" in NL, around the first weekend in October. This is a bungalow park with a central bar/meeting room and lots of room for a terrace barby.... should be fun
