I've always viewed it in flat. There used to be a large contingent of users who swore by threaded, and I'm pretty sure there are still a few.

But like Bitt, I always reply to the appropriate post.

Flat mode, but I really don't know why.

On the other bbs that I use every single day I would never use anything other than threaded mode. I'm also one of the people who complain when flat earthers reply to the wrong message.

I really have no idea why I use flat mode here.

Just turned threaded mode on briefly. I now remember why I don't use it here, it is no good at keeping track and showing me which posts in a thread I've read.

Back to flat mode frown

flat = chronological

Read in flat mode, this board reads as an open conversation. The conversation might drift but it stays in sequence. Threaded mode, when it skips over parts of the stream, becomes confusing.

I don't know of any BBS I read in threaded mode.
