My friend Molly asked this question of Twitter today, and we're all stumped by it. I figure, if you guys can find a bridge, you can find this. The question is:

Quote:
We know what “Shave and a Haircut” sounds like, but what is this sting (at 2:05) called? Youtube Link

I'm trying, but Google is being spectacularly unhelpful due to the English language overloading every possible search term that I could feed it with other meanings.

Molly would be quite impressed if the EmpegBBS found this one. smile

I've never even heard the terms "musical stab" and "sting" (used in a musical context, like this) before now, so alas, I'm no help. At least my horizons have been broadened.

True... On days when I visit and there are no new posts, I leave a little sadder.

FWIW, I did give it a search, but my google-fu is evidently weak.

Best search terms so far "piano sting and bumper". Turns up tons of stock stings, but not the one you're looking for.

I come here daily too. I've never been an active participant, but I read all the posts.

I still have a look at least once a week. I often wonder what happened to pgrzelak and Darkstorm (Steve).

I have the Magic 8 Ball pgrzelak created in my cube at work - unfortunately overtime it has lost fluid so no longer has any nerd/geek humo(u)r left in it.

My 8 ball is somewhere at my old office. I'll have to try to find it.

Hold it upside down, and look at it from the bottom?

While that is entertaining for others to watch, it doesn't work as it is not empty of fluid yet laugh
