msaeger carpal tunnel Registered: 23/09/2000 Posts: 3608 Loc: Minnetonka, MN	hello I am making a new mk1 harness and I just need to know which wire on the serial cable is the +12V line. the pinout on the all things empeg site lists pin one as having the +12v and the +12v line from the serial but doesn't say what color wire that is I am guessing it is the green because it is the only one left but I want to be sure also where should I connect the shield on the serial cable to ? the GND on pin 8 ? thanks matt matt 32Gig MK2 In 2001 VW Golf TDI _________________________ Matt

altman carpal tunnel Registered: 19/05/1999 Posts: 3457 Loc: Palo Alto, CA	Pin 4 (DTR) is +12v, ground is pin 5. Not sure on the colours. Hugo
