Does anyone know if there are any streaming live feeds of an NPR station to be found on the net? I have found streaming feeds of several national news stations except NPR.

I think I found a decent one at KPBS from San Diego. Anyone have any others?

One of my problems has been that RealAudio has been an utter piece of crap lately and has not been functioning at all. However, Windows Media Player has been working although it is spotty and tends to crash itself a lot. Most of the links listed as NPR feeds are RealAudio and don't respond when I attempt to connect. So I was lucky to stumble across the KPBS link as it's WM rather than RA.

Thanks. I found the WBUR feed, as well as WHYY and WCPN.

The link from NPR.org didn't work for me because, as I said, RA is a piece of poo poo.

KUT in Austin, TX.

Its netcast is also in RealAudio, so it might not be your first choice... but FWIW, KUT is among the best-programmed NPR affiliates I've known.

OK, last one. Had to get a plug in for my favourate NPR station WHRV in Norfolk, VA. They stream in WMA format so that should help ya out. One of the reassons I like this staion so much is because of their Sunday night line-up:


Evening

6:00 p.m. Folk Sampler
7:00 p.m. Thistle and Shamrock
8:00 p.m. In the Folk Tradition
9:00 p.m. River City Folk
10:00 p.m. New Dimensions (Radio Drama)
11:00 p.m. Music from the Hearts of Space

God I miss Austin. KUT/NPR was really my only reason for wanting a radio. Sadly the Dallas NPR affiliate has a lot of Christian content ... nothing against God/Christ ... but I like my stuff *unfiltered*
