Hey,

I've noticed something regarding "gapless play" - it WORKS when in text mode, just not in visual mode.. Can anyone else confirm this?
Songs that have been ripped gapless will play without a gap when using just an info screen, but not with a visual.

I just tried it, and I don't notice a difference in the amount of gap between a vis and no vis.

Even with a text screen, there is a very brief dropout between the tracks when I test it. My reference for what constitutes gapless playback might be more stringent than yours, though. I'm using the Winamp gapless output plugin that Justin Frankel wrote as my baseline for judging gapless play.

hmm..Thought I was onto something; I'll experiment with different de-gapped cd's and let you know what happens. I did notice one thing for definate though - when you append a song to the playlist, it pauses if in visual mode (briefly) but keeps playing when in text mode...

FYI: I just discovered that the latest version of Sonique plays gapless by default. Handy if you don't feel like messing with the WinAmp plugins.

Yep, my first reaction was that it was a (low priority) bug.

actually, a little more detail - In my experience, if the list is just a single song, it appends another song w/o a pause.. However, if there's more then a song, it pauses while inserting a song...

Not the same as my experience... I frequently experience pauses even when appending a single song. I can confirm, however that there are no pauses on the text screens. Nice to know!
