Scrolling of titles

Hi all,
just as the infoline in the visuals or the station names (RDS text) in the tuner mode are scrolling, I'd like to see the track names in the "long" info and "now and next" info to scroll through once then reset when they don't fit onto the display.
This was also done on my Kenwood unit and I like it a lot.

OK, I've put it in the task database. It'll probably percolate out again at some point.

This is possible in the now and next display.
It is however unlikely to happen in the "long" info screen because this is designed for minimal driver distraction.

Hi.
Damn, I really want that feature for the "Long info" screen, too. Or a new info screen that is equivalent to the "Long info" one, but with scrolling. It really bugs me that I can't see the full CD title of some CDs in any info screen. Like the relatively common (at least in Germany) "Kuschelrock Spezial Edition - ..." (there are some different ones, like "best movie songs", "magic moments in Soul").

It is possible that we could implement scrolling in this screen, and force it to be disabled until relevant user feedback.

Count my vote for wanting it to scroll. If it needs to be the least distracting, have it scroll when the song first starts, and then at intervals there after so it's not always moving. I have quite a few playlists and titles that are off the screen that i'd like to be able to read, and i use that mode all the time.

I would like the feature, too, and I'd be happy with that compromise.

As I said, scroll once, then reset. This is not distracting at all as you take a look at the screen anyway when the song changes, so it comes in handy when the text is scrolling once then.

I'm for the scroll feature in the "long" info mode as well.

Great! Could you attach the new version of the player to prove it?

The player exceeds the maximum size allowed (100000 bytes) by the BBS.
You'll have to wait X days!

A lot has changed since v1.0. I think the release notes alone might actually take that long...

Thanks for implementing the scrolling feature. However, I read that the static info displays were meant for minimal driver distraction.
Now, the titles keep scrolling, which is quite distracting (depending on the title). Can the scrolling be made adjustable from "Repeating constantly" to "Just Once"?
