My empeg locked up this morning on a song at the very begining and now it wont respond after boot strap.
I ran Hyper term - it appears everything loads up fine...
starts player and hangs right there. I reloaded 1.03 successfully and no luck.
I then ran the Diag "CTRL-T" from hyperterm....
All passed ok.
I checked the suspect original song on my PC and it is ok.
i suppose it's possible that this song is corrupt on my player and causing the lockup?
The question is how do i find this bad tune to delete it?? .... or change the player so it does not try to keep playing the same song at bootup as to avoid the lockup and use emplode to remove it?

My Log...........

Looks like the same problem I had a while back, even though the song that it seemed to lock up on was fine. Try the fix Hugo suggests here

Awesome!!!
That did the trick!!!!
I read your reply post and I had exactly the same issues as you except it appears my song is corrupt.
This board continues to amaze me with all of the awesome people here that keep this community going.
I just hope it stays even after SB has forgotten about the Empeg.
Thanks again Drakino!!

Interesting note....
When I went to delete the offending song, Empeg reported deleting a different song, and then promptly failed the sync process.
I went back in and deleted the cross reference song and all is well.
guess they got corrupt aginst the files table or Database??
The Error was:
The synchronisation process failed during stage 10:
Operation not permitted error 0xffffffff
