Just thought I'd mention this to set precedence...didn't see it anywere else yet.

I was thrown off at first with the dimmer being all the way down when I put the player in the car. Once I found that setting and turned it back up all was good again.

However, when I got home from work, I turned the volume down (as I often do so I don't disturb my neighbors when I come home late at night) and when I did so, the dimmer setting reset itself somehow back to zero. Seems I turned the brightness down with the volume. Turned it back up in the settings, and couldn't reproduce, but I just thought I'd mention it.

You probably did something similar to what I did. I put the player in the car, played around some more after fixing the brightness, then pulled out of the parking lot while queuing up some songs. I realised the brightness was back at 0%, because I turned on my headlights...
