i can get the fader to appear by pushing the rotary control when it is in the house but vcan't get it through the menus

Yeah, it appears on AC power, but it's not adjustable. I'm OK with this as a feature because it would keep people from asking "where's my fader at home?". It's right there, you just can't do anything with it...

I debated with myself whether or not to report that as a bug.

Maybe the box, instead of saying "Fader", should say "Fader N/A on A/C pwr" or something?

Why not have it say: "Fader: Home Outputs" or something like that with a greyed-out selection bar? If it can't get any more greyed out, as it's already dark, just take out the bright "needle" from the center, so the bar looks as inactive as it really is.

Yeah, but it's kinda neat to have it there but non-functional.

Besides, isn't it easier to change the box's caption string inside an "if (AC_POWER)" than to code around the box?
